David Tsao founded The Greenridge Group and David T. Tsao & Associates/Tsao Construction in 1988. He is a California State Licensed Architect with over twenty-five years' experience managing design, construction, programs, projects, and facilities. His projects include LEED Sustainable Buildings and Clean Energy Solutions. His experiences as an Owner's Representative, Architect, General Contractor, Construction Manager, and Program Manager give him a broad understanding of each party's needs in successfully completing large-scale projects.
David earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree at California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, and the Construction Management Association of America.
As former Operations Manager for the Los Angeles office of one of the largest and oldest construction company in the State of California, he managed all business unit projects and staff; he established a new company regional office in San Diego; and served on the company’s Management Advisory Committee. He was previously associated with Turner Construction Company, the one-time largest general contractor in the country; Music Corporation of America (MCA)/Universal Studios as their Facility Project Manager; Hughes Aircraft Company-Missile Systems Group as the Facility Architect; and Becket International as on-site construction management team member in Beijing, China in 1982 for the construction of China’s first Western standard, five-star hotel.
David understands the elements necessary to operate a successful business, and readily shares his experiences with others. He enjoys teaching and mentoring young professionals seeking to achieve their potential.
Jim Allison, PE
Jim Allison is a building industry construction executive with over 35 years’ experience in pre-construction, construction, consulting and operations management. He has managed complex construction projects and resolved conflicts through a team-oriented philosophy involving the client, stakeholders, architects, and engineers.
Jim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering at University of Colorado, Boulder, and has been a licensed Professional Engineer in Colorado since 1980. He served as Project Executive and Pre-Construction Manager for Swinerton Builders in Denver from 2006 to 2009 and Senior Project Manager for Swinerton Management & Consulting from 2004 to 2006.
At Turner Construction from 1975 to 2004, Jim held a variety of executive and management positions including Vice President, Operations Manager, Project Director and Project Executive. He oversaw a wide range of large, complex projects in the education, public and private sectors including airports, schools, concert and entertainment facilities, commercial buildings, and large scale infrastructure. A partial list of clients includes LAUSD, Oakland International Airport, Denver International Airport, City of Los Angeles, California Science Center, TSA, Mile High Stadium, Universal Studios, Disney Concert Hall, Southern California Gas Center, Johns Manville World Headquarters and Boettcher Concert Hall (Denver).
Ed Cadena Vice President
Ed Cadena has over 35 years of construction and construction management experience. He has a keen understanding of managing site logistics, schedule, phasing, quality assurance and safety in multiple project site settings. Ed has effectively maintained cost and schedule control for multi-million dollar projects, and has proven leadership abilities in managing design, pre-bid functions and all phases of construction contract administration.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology with the Construction option at California State University, Long Beach; and, an Associate of Science degree in Building Technology at Don Bosco Technical Institute. Ed previously served as Vice President of JRH Construction; Project Executive at Turner Construction from 1994 to 2008; and, Vice President/Project Manager at John R. Hundley, Inc. from 1978 to 1991.
He has managed large-scale projects in several sectors including higher education, K-12 schools, public works, ports and the military.
